Future of Women in Business Network

Future of Women in Business Network

Another fabulous event Future of Women in Business Network, where we heard Amanda Reynolds talk about her business journey, and how to survive and thrive. Some of us, even got some free chocolate – which is always a win! 🍫

Maybe next time Kelly could get dressed for the event and ditch the PPE!! 🙄

Good Things Come To Those Who Wait…

Guinness - Good things come to those who wait...

In the famous words of Guinness, “Good things come to those who wait”!
And finally the wait is over… after many of you asking when @kellycartwright_ would be a speaker at @genenetworking!
Pogue Mahon’s – 16th March – 6pm to 9pm ☘️🇮🇪
Make sure you don’t miss out – tickets are released tomorrow at 8.30am!
You may have to wait on the night, as the length of time required to correctly pour a pint of Guinness from the tap, is quoted at 119.5 seconds, but we think – it will be worth the wait 😉🍺

National Federation of Builders Ambassador!

Kelly becomes an NFB Ambassador

Taking construction to new heights… 🏗👷🏽‍♀️
Alright.. we know it’s only first lift but Kelly is afraid of heights OK! 😬🙈 but like everything, you always have to push yourself out of your comfort zone once in a while…
Her mind boggles every time opportunities like this come my way; Kelly been selected as an Ambassador for the @natfedbuilders 🤯 thank you to Danny Clarke CMIOSH 👏🏼🥹
We are truly blessed to have an amazing industry, but we don’t think we shout about it enough! Construction has so much to offer and Kelly cannot wait to support NFB together, as we can create a better industry and federation fit for the future.
Super excited to be on this journey with other outstanding individuals, but most especially her girl @hughes_carly! One sensational women, but now a dear friend that I’ve met through our fabulous industry. 🫶🏼

Co.Next 2023 Advisory Board

Co.Next Advisory Board 2023

Co.next was launched in early 2022 to empower, engage and encourage young professionals across Norfolk.

A gap in the market was brought to our attention by those 35 and under – the need to bridge the gap between leaving education and gaining knowledge, experience, and confidence to climb the career ladder.

Some young professionals may find that the working world is a different place to when they left education, or they have had a change of career, and are struggling to gain the right soft skills to settle effectively into a team; they need to understand how to network with their peers; or what steps they need to take to further their professional development; or what their ultimate direction might be. These challenges were further highlighted by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Co.next is a service curated by the Norfolk Chambers of Commerce designed to support working young professionals 35 and under in Norfolk. Co.next will offer engaging knowledge and networking programs supported and developed by a board of like-minded individuals, who want to empower budding professionals.

The Board is made up of experienced business professionals. They are ably supported by an Advisory Board of those young professionals who are the heart of this programme, which Kelly is delighted to be a part of! They have their feet on the ground, sharing their ideas and raising awareness of what support and guidance they actually need.

We, at the Norfolk Chambers of Commerce, are here to provide training, networking, mentoring, and more to help empower, engage and encourage young professionals to grow and develop their careers.

We are dedicated to fulfilling our compelling mission: ‘To connect, support, and give voice to every business in Norfolk.’

We have big ambitions to drive positive change into how Norfolk’s brilliant pool of young professionals network, share best practices, and shape the region’s business landscape.
