Happy (early) Work Anniversary to our very own April Fool, Molly! We are incredibly proud of everything she has achieved so far, she has played an instrumental part in our expansion; we can’t wait to see what new postcode areas she taps up this year! 🗺️
Now you can rest your wrist whilst you are scrolling 😜
Back to college for Sarah Wilson this morning.. we know you are youthful but not sure you could pass for the age bracket 😜👵🏼
In all seriousness, it was great to hear about the Construction Curriculum offering starting in September at City College Norwich. We are super excited to support Liv Bradley & the team, especially the transition from Education to the world of work.
Isn’t it funny how your paths cross with someone, who you just click with, have the same goals and have each others back. 🫶🏼
For us, networking isn’t about collecting contacts. It’s about building genuine relationships with everyone you meet.
Sam Squire & Alex Hughes goal is to provide entrepreneurial training to 10K young people across the UK in 2023. Bold, strong goals; but together alongside everyone else supporting them, it’s absolutely doable.
All basic key skills, ranging from pitching, securing investment, self-confidence, financial understanding, leadership, sprinkled with some resilience – pretty much skills that are missed out in the “traditional” education system.
We are fully 100% behind getting this kind of training out to young people, as it doesn’t matter whether they end up launching a business or working in one, they’ll be able to contribute to solving the UKs problems more effectively.
Kelly Cartwright is honoured to be an Ignite Champion and ally with this great team and project. 🚀
Kelly had to capture this moment with a selfie, because she f*cking did it! 👏🏼 Most people think nothing phases me, you are right! Except one thing.. public speaking! 😬
You could say it was luck, that Kelly met @beccampbella 14 months ago, fast forward, (and a hella lot of @kalmsrange later) here she is stood up infront of a jam packed room – all eyes on her! 🙋🏻♀️… Kelly does thank you, even though every time she asks herself why have I agreed to this!!
Kelly demonstrated a bit of blind luck on the night, where everyone had to pick a card on arrival, only one had “lucky” on the back.. turns out two people in the audience swapped cards (not realising the meaning) – looks like it was your lucky day ✨😉
Being in a room surrounded by her supportive team (they truly are the best of the best), some amazing friends who came to cheer me on, and some super young professionals that we have the pleasure of knowing, Kelly felt pretty lucky that night. 🍀
Kelly believes, success is 10% luck, and 90% hard work. But, always be consistent, always show up (but be prepared) and always take every opportunity that comes your way… if you know me – you’ll know I’m consistent, no b*llshit, straight talking, go getter. 👊🏼
Last week, Kelly Cartwright was part of a panel alongside Rebecca Campbell, Rose Steward 🦩 and Jasmina Grabham on “How to boss it in the world of work” at the Norwich Business School at University of East Anglia.
We spoke about so many important subjects when transitioning to the world of work, some of which we know are Kelly’s passions;
👉🏼 Motivation & Empowerment
👉🏼 Being a Boss
👉🏼 Social Media; The Good, The Bad & The Ugly
👉🏼 Authenticity
It was such a great opportunity to be involved, as the thought of heading into the working world is a pretty scary thought… 💭
