After one of the toughest years we have all faced, it was an absolute honour hosting our annual Golf Day.
For most of our guests, this was first corporate social event in over a year, the buzz around the course was such a joy to see, even the weather didn’t dampen their spirits.
Days like these are so impactful, now more than ever. It makes you really appreciate what wonderful clients within a fantastic industry and being able to give back and say thank you. 🧡
Huge thank you to all the team at @bawburghgolfclub, @christophescrepes for the delicious Crepes which definitely were a well needed sugar rush, @logowearltd for all the branded facemasks & @gdscore for keeping us live with the scores throughout day.
Already looking forward to hosting next years event, fingers crossed the weather is better though! 🤞🏼
10 Years On…
A huge congratulations to Kelly who has dedicated a whole decade of her life to the construction recruitment industry! 👏🏼 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here’s a little throw back to 2010, when Kelly thought wide leg suit trousers, a high vis which could be mistaken for a dress and riggers were super trendy! At least you have acquired some fashion sense in the last 🔟 years!
We thank you for everything you have done for the industry, the thousands of candidates you have found work for over the years, the business and us as a team. Not to mention, for being a role model to aspire more young women to become business owners, and all your support to encourage more women to get into construction! 🧡⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Stomping Out Stereotypes!
“Be stubborn and thick-skinned. Because I think even if you are passionate, and even if you are really good at what you do. I think you are likely to be subject to preconceived notions of who can do what.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The #stompingoutstereotypes movement is trying to raise awareness, that you can be feminine and also smash your field. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We do both. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In order to engage more Women in Construction, we need to: start young, reframe people’s perceptions and increase visibility of #WIC. If you want a career within industry, but don’t know where to start then please give us a call on 01603 618849! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you want to share the message, make sure you tag us in your photo, Kelly would love to see how far her image gets!
Supporting a local practice
Face Fit Testing to the front line workers
Yesterday Astral & Kelly were privileged to be involved with a construction community effort to deliver Face Fit Testing to the front line workers at the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
To be amongst those who are going above and beyond to ensure that essential health care is provided to all that require it throughout this crisis, is incredibly humbling and inspiring.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We are completely touched by all the front line workers, it has been a pleasure to meet you and keep YOU that little bit safer, after all that is what you are doing for everyone else.
Huge shout out to everyone has donated kits for us to use, the team we spent the day with and most importantly Conor Reeves for organising this!
Thank you Key Workers
During these difficult times, it is important to unite as a community and help those who need it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We are really proud to of delivered necessities to some of our local key workers who are working around the clock to ensure our essential services remain. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If anyone else needs any assistance please let us know.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Kelly getting her hands dirty on site
Last week our Director helped one of our valued clients by pulling on her site gear and getting her hands dirty on site.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There is limited operational presence that has to remain on site for the short term to carry out the essential task of making sites safe and of course, to handover properties to their clients and purchasers who are looking to move in over the coming days and these workers are under extreme pressure.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We appreciate we all need to ideally be self isolating, to protect ourselves, our families and to stay safe (and don’t get me wrong we want everyone to be safe), but these lads aren’t able to until the job is done. Kelly couldn’t just sit at home whilst people are still having to deliver.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You may criticise or disagree with her decision but for her this is a crucial time to help and support each other, to go above and beyond what is deemed as “expected” and to step up and deliver for our local community.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Kelly wanted to do her bit to help the construction industry.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Stay safe.
