Co-next Norfolk Chambers of Commerce
An exciting event last night, where the new concept, Co.next Norfolk Chambers of Commerce was launched by an incredible board. ✨
Empowering, engaging and encouraging Norfolk’s young professionals is vital, not only to the business Co.mmunity, but in ensuring there is a culture which allows opportunities to develop, grow and to excel.
We have a wonderful business community here in Norfolk, and this will take it to the next level which we are super excited about! 👊🏼

One persons act of kindness can change your day

act of kindness can change your day
At the start of the year we brainstormed an idea of spreading a little kindness every single month of 2022, as there’s too much negativity in the world, you never know when someone might need a little bit of kindness. We can all make a difference, every act creates a ripple.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We kicked off January with our first deliveries of our “You are ” cookies.

Helping other women win, motivating themselves

Kelly wishes more women realised that helping other women win, motivating them on, sharing knowledge & experiences
Kelly wishes more women realised that helping other women win, motivating them on, sharing knowledge & experiences with them, does not take away from your opportunities. In fact, the more you give, the more you receive. Empowering women doesn’t come from selfishness, but actually from selflessness.💭
A fantastic evening surrounded by some inspiring women at Future of Women in Business Network, Kelly certainly combatted some fears of public speaking, huge shout out to Rebecca Campbell for asking her to be the speaker for the evening and creating a superb platform for women. 🧡

2021 has been a whirlwind of a year

2021 has been a whirlwind of a year
2021 has been a whirlwind of a year, and a certainly one of uncertainty! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
– We have seen the vaccine rolled out & then topped up by the booster 💉⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
– Snow and ice caused travel disruption, a temperature of −17.1 °C is recorded in Scotland, the lowest reading in the UK since December 2010. ❄️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
– A new meaning for traffic lights, when the government announced tough new measures for travellers. 🚦⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
– A new minutes’ silence to remember the 126,172 people who have died from the virus since the beginning of lockdown exactly a year ago on 23rd March ⌚️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
– COVID-19 pandemic costs meant government borrowing in the year to March reaches £303.1bn, the highest level since the end of World War II. 💶⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
– The final Debenhams store is closed, after more than 240 years in business. 🛍⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
– UEFA Euro 2020: England defeat Denmark 2–1. This marks the first time England have reached the final of a major international tournament since 1966 ⚽️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
– The Office for National Statistics reports that UK job vacancies reached a record high of 953,000 in the three months to July, while average pay rose 7.4%👩🏼‍💼⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
– The Northern line extension to Battersea opens, the first major expansion of the London Underground in over 20 years 🚝⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
– Fuel Supply Crisis where many pumps were empty ⛽️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
– We have bounced in & out of lockdown 🪀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
– Inflation reaches 5.1%, up from 4.2% the previous month and its highest level in 10 years ⬆️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Life is a whirlwind of many opportunities; here’s to hopefully a healthier and a more “normal” 2022 🤞🏼⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

National Business Womens Awards 2021

National Business Womans Awards 2021
A wonderful evening spent celebrating the successes of multiple female entrepreneurs and business owners who have gone out of their way to make a difference to their respective industries and communities.
Huge congratulations to all of the wonderful women who picked up a trophy and to all female leaders that are paving the way for future generations & stomping out those stereotypes.
Although last nights awards didn’t result in a win, we are so incredibly proud of Kelly for being a finalist in the “Business Hero” category.
Now it’s time to stop playing dress up, and get back to work in your steelies Kelly! 😝

National Building & Construction Awards

National Building & Construction Awards 2021
“You are what you do, not what you say you’ll do.” 👊🏼
She’s only gone and scooped another award! Kelly has been recognised by the National Building & Construction Awards as one of the Best Women in Construction, the judges were looking for someone with expectional drive to succeed in a male dominated industry and an integral part to the success of the business. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Our industry can hugely benefit from welcoming females into it, and this award win should encourage more women into construction. 👷🏻‍♀️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Jobs recovery continues

Jobs recovery continues despite end of furlough
jobs recovery continues despite end of furlough!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There were 160,000 more workers on payrolls in October than in September despite the end of the furlough scheme, official figures show.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Job vacancies also hit a fresh record high of 1.17 million in the three months to October as firms continued to struggle with worker shortages.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The unemployment rate has fallen to 4.3%, near to its pre-pandemic level.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But demand for workers has remained strong since the economy reopened, especially within construction 🚧⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
